Baby Swimming Lessons @ Happy Fish

Happy Fish’s Baby Swimming Lessons are designed for babies aged 4 to 23 months, providing an early introduction to water in a safe, comfortable and engaging environment. Conducted at indoor heated swimming pools, the programme focuses on helping babies gradually develop water confidence, movement skills and familiarity with being in and around water.

The programme follows a progressive four-level curriculum. Babies begin with water familiarisation, breath conditioning, supported kicking, floating and their first submersions before progressing towards longer glides, short-distance swimming, turning, back floating and independent movement in the water. Each child progresses at their own pace rather than following a fixed completion timeline.

Parents play an active role during the lessons, working alongside Happy Fish coaches to guide their babies through the activities. This parent-accompanied approach also creates an opportunity for bonding while helping parents learn how to support their child confidently in the water.

Lessons are conducted in Happy Fish’s purpose-built indoor heated pools, maintained at approximately 30–32°C during lesson times. The pools use salt chlorination together with UV filtration as part of their water treatment system, providing a controlled environment that is not affected by Singapore’s rain or lightning conditions.

Happy Fish has operated since 2007 and offers its learn-to-swim programmes across multiple locations in Singapore and Malaysia. Baby Swimming Lessons are available at various Happy Fish branches, making it convenient for families to choose a location that suits them.

For parents who would like their baby to become comfortable around water from an early age, the programme provides a structured pathway from their first introduction to the pool towards greater confidence and independent aquatic movement.
